For
his contribution and involvement in respectfully
preserving the 9/11 tragedy, the New York Fire
Department recently honored Babu Khalfan with
the rank of Honorary Battalion Chief Fire. At the FDNY
Headquarters in New York, the badge was presented to
him by Commissioner Nicholas Scoppetta; who also
performed the citation. Since it's initiation in
1978, only 286 civilians have been given this
prestigious recognition.
Babu
Khalfan was honored as the MSDA
Regional Minority Manufacturer of the
Year 2000, for his outstanding
accomplishments in architectural signage
manufacturing. The award was
presented in New York by the Regional Director Mr.
Heyward Davenport, on behalf of the U.
S. Department of Commerce.
